Meet Aurora. I took this picture when she was just 5 hours old. Shawn's sister, Kelly was induced on Tuesday--same day Shawn was born.

Kelly has 3 other children: Dustin born Jan 8, Ali born Mar 20, and Casey born Jan 12.

I swear, these people need to cross their legs during the springtime. (get this: We've got 3 birthdays in Dec, now 4 in January and 1 in Feb)

Kelly's husband, Lance almost passed out in delivery. He was holding her leg (isn't that what got them here in the 1st place?) and became dizzy. He was passed a pair of scissors to snip the cord and he said simply, "Naw, that's awright..."

Aurora? Me and Shawn laughed when we both tried to pronounce it... Arerer Orer ruh rer

This kid's gonna get hell from us. But seriously, let's look at the pattern:

Dustin. A very sounthern, Texas name. Huh, and Kelly had just moved to Texas when she met her husband.

Alicia (Ali) Very normal, very fitting. She prances about like an alley cat who thinks she's all that--but is still very sweet.

Cassity (Casey) Kelly came up with this name because she was just LAZY. Shawn's best friend, Casey had just passed away (suicide, actually) so Kelly says, "Oh! I can't think of anythinf else, I'll name her Casey!" I kid, really...but I think she was just lazy.

Aurora. Hmm. I think with 2 small girls in the house, Kelly has watched Disney's Sleeping Beauty one too many times. Once again...

Lazy.

We now have a total of 8 nieces and nephews and one sorta-god-son. This poor child is only 2 and 1/2 days old and I still don't know what color her eyes are. I'd put money on it that they're either blue or brown! (Dad and I are the only with green eyes)

Anyway, Happy Birthday to Shawn, eh?
