Dog the Bounty Hunter (see the Discovery Channel, or A&E--I forget which one) was arrested on charges of kidnapping.
First, know that this dude (who's real name I've forgotten) is a legal bounty hunter here in the good 'ol US of A. He tracks down criminals, hands 'em over to the police, and collects the award. That's what he does for a living. That's his day job. And you thought wearing a suit and tie to work every day would be boring.
Dog tracked down a criminal in Mexico. He brought the guy back to USA for trial. Mecian police ordered USA to return Dog on charges of kidnapping and illegally holding the criminal.
And of course like dumb, blind sheep we said, "Here you go! Please don't shoot!"
Did I mention that the criminal had raped three women, among numnerous other heinous crimes? This guy is a really bad dude. Oh but wait! Dog is the real criminal here! He "kidnapped" a bad guy! He did the job that police wouldn't or couldn't. He was trying to take one more dangerous offender off the streets to keep your children safe while they play in the streets. Yep, Dog is real criminal all right.
Isn't there some of law that says we just don't hand over someone that has their own TV show? He's on TV! He's special to us that regular bounty hunters just aren't! We Americans have a special affinity for those on TV. Just watch Opera and you'll see what I mean. Ha!
So. anyway, I really just don't understand why we continue to punish our good guys and let our bad guys run free (I could name a few senators). I don't have anything funny at all to say about that.
