Your Free to Say ANYTHING You Want!

A 7th grade student was sent home from school for wearing a t-shirt that promoted drug use.

3 judges decreed that this 12 year old kid has had his freedom of speech violated and that he may wear or say whatever he wants.

So what if this kid wears a shirt that says F the Teachers?

I doubt George Washington and his gang had kids in mind when the Freedom of Speech was placed in our consitution. It was really to guarentee that you do have the right to speak in front of a crowd, to speak out about plotical views, to blog about whatever the heck you wanted to blog about!

Ok, so maybe they hadn't considered the power of the interent yet, but that's beside the point. When I was in 7th grade I got sent home for wearing a shirt that said "Don't walk the dog if you can't stop to pick up the poop"

My uptight mother bought it for me. I wasn't trying to make a political statement. I wasn't trying to lash out to see if I could get away with it. I thought it was funny. Hey, if you can't deal with the consequences, don't get yourself into the situation. Period!

My, how times have changed. What sort of a judge says it's OK for a kid to wear a t-shirt promoting the use of marijuana and cocaine???

I wonder if those three judges would permit their own children to wear such an outfit.
