Reason For My Absence

I have several pages in a notebook for the online t-shirt shop. I have doodles and sketches made out in my head. I was accepted for PayPerPost. I signed up to be reviewed by Humor-Blogs.com I've been averaging a friend on Blog Catalog every other day (for once in my life, everyone wants me to be their friend! ...You don't really see the real me & my attitude, though).

And I haven't messed with any of it.

I get up at 4:30 am and I get Shawn up at 5:30 am. We've been going to bed around 11pm. Besides our regular day jobs and the norm, we've rented a space within a store. After 5 years, we're finally in the public eye.

We're still selling on eBay, of course. But now we're in the city.... On our way to having our own four walls and a roof.

So that's why I haven't been posting on a daily basis like usual. We're set to open tomorrow (we already paid the rent) and we've been scrambling in a manic-panic like drive all week. Shawn's built shelves with plexi-glass doors that lock (it's Shake n' Bake--I helped); they're almost done. We just need a few more screws and paint and actual locks.

I've been on the computer created inventory and pricing till the cows come home. I think the cows forgot their coffee because they seem to be dragging a little bit.

The best part of all this? It's not a flea market store. It's an actual store right here in town. The owner (a friend) will sell our items for us for a commission that is less than the cost of listing on eBay.

All we have to do is keep our inventory stocked. I'm so jazzed. We had fliers made up and we're gonna put an ad in the local paper. Christmas is coming! Oh, wouldn't it be so nice if I could tell you we've quit our jobs an opened our own store and we're no longer breaking our backs to make someone else rich?

I know this post isn't humorous. I thought you all deserved an explanation on why I haven't visited your blogs (I totally want to!) and why I haven't been around in general.

....And I'm just super excited! Everything is going right for a change. That probably means the family will be fighting or something over the holidays, but who cares?! HA HA! We're just so happy about all this!

Our prices slaughter that of Wal-Mart and the box stores in general. We just need to get the word out.

God is out there. He heard my years of prayer.

And He said, "Yes."
