Wing Stop Restaurant Review

In a word: Ugh.
We had a Wing Stop open here about a year or two ago and I picked up a to-go order this past Saturday while running errands.

Everyone I've talked to about this place goes on and on and ON about Wing Stop's french fries. On Saturday, it was a toss up between Jester's and Wing Stop. I wanted to try something new, so I picked Wing Stop based on what I've heard about their marvelous fries.

The fries were regular steak fries, soft and mushy. If I wanted mashed potatoes, I would've gone to a real restaurant. Tasteless, and not at all what I've been told.

I ordered two flavors of wings, Hawaiian and BBQ. The BBQ tasted like generic BBQ sauce tossed over some wings and nothing more.

The Hawaiian flavor was good, sweet and reminded me of General TSO's chicken with more sweetness.

However, the wings were not crunchy at all, the sauce was rationed onto the wings as though it were WWII and Wing Stop had run out of rationing stamps.

The restaurant itself appeared clean and had a nice look to it. Many have told me the place has an odd smell to it.
"Not bad....just odd," some say.
"Like a bad fart," others say.

I didn't notice a scent in the place other than chicken and grease, however upon arriving home and allowing the bag to sit on the counter, I did happen to notice a bad fart aroma. Something about that mix of grease and sugar that made my entire kitchen smell a bit stanky.

This is why we don't try new things. You never know when it's gonna suck and you're wasting your money and time. We don't eat out very often, so we're picky when we do. That's what I get for trusting others' judgment and trying out a new venture.

In short, save yer money go somewhere else for wings. They don't even have a honey BBQ flavor. >:-(
