$#%^ing PINK!! Our Beloved Bathroom--BEFORE PHOTOS

The Bathroom of Doom! (da-da-dum!)

Who the #$%& puts pink tile in a bathroom??? You couldn't put it on a big enough clearance for me! Honestly....pink!!!
OK, so this is why Shawn (and me too) wants to redo the bathroom. That heater there? No valve! How would you shut off the gas to it in an emergency? You don't. And we have TWO of them!! (one in the other bathroom--which we never use because it's worse than this one. The pink bathroom was an add-on in the 70's I think)
Shower doors butted up against a counter. Oh, these people were down right geniuses, let me tell you! There have obviously been numerous floods, because when we moved in, I scrubbed the floor for an entire hour attempting to get the mildew stains. And you think the floor looks bad now! Uh-uh. It's totally pretty now. HA HA!
The tub has 40 years old hard-water stains on it and I have put every chemical known to mankind on it--other than nuclear waste and uranium. Who puts a window in the tub???
Primitive people who lived before showering was in style, that's who. I don't even bother with it. Someone had had mini blinds up once there. How retarded is that?
Um, hello?? Breeding ground for mildew!
Speaking of mildew, I once made myself sick after trying to scrub the tub, tub walls, shower doors, etc. with a mixture of bleach and water. I am sure you have heard that bleach is the only thing that kills mildew and mold. Not ours. We have a new breed. I should call the local news or some scientists.

How do you like my magazine rack? What? It's the only chance I get to read!

...it actually looks worse in the photos thaan in real life. And people wonder how we could afford a house with two bathrooms.

While I have to admit that your bathroom is pretty darn ugly, I'd just like to say that mine could quite possibly be worse. The first bathroom (which is only a standing shower) has an accordion style door that is now yellowish, and similar to your bathroom, bleach doesn't help. The 2nd bathroom is the same style tile as yours...except for lime green (which is actually better than the pink). BUT, before we moved in my landlords decided to paint both bathrooms for us. How nice, huh?

NO. Let me explain their painting process for you. 1-Rip down wallpaper. 2-Paint dark brown right over the wall.

That's right. They didn't even both scraping off the wallpaper glue or the bits of wallpaper that were too stubborn to come off without a little extra work.

Oh the joys of an old house...

We bought our house from a flipper. They painted over that cruddy boarder stuff in the bathroom. When you look closely, you can see girly flowers and junk through the paint up along the ceiling
