APR Buyout

I haven't read up on this story too much, but Shawn's a news junkie and that's where I get most of my info. Apparently, the government (meaning, us tax payers) is helping out all those people who bought houses on variable rates and can't pay their bills any longer.

What will happen is that those of us who put in long hours of overtime and can pay our mortgage will be paying for those who ignorantly passed on a low fixed rate and are about to lose their homes. Yes, those lovable clowns in the our esteemed government are gonna "help out" these people because so many failed mortgages would place such a huge crutch on the economy.

So I say, so what? I've paid my bills. I worked hard to do so. I don't see any government giving me a hand out. This is just another good reason why we have 30 year old still living off of their parents. Here's a nice little part of growing up and learning:

You have to make mistakes

Why should I be responsible for bailing these people out? I'm all for helping those in need, but not being forced to do so by my government! We donate to our church and local food bank. Whenever a local is announced in church as having lost their home to a fire or whatever, we scrounge up whatever we can to help.

Lost their home in a fire; NOT to being retarded when applying for a mortgage. Maybe I should start my own fund.

Send your donations to The Being Taxed To Death Fund. We accept credit cards, personal checks, PayPal and food stamps.

Up in the great white north, we didn't hear too many details, just that the mortgage funds crashed or whatever. It sucks that it hits regular people too though. :(

Oh, and it's alright to be behind on mine- I don't expect people to read my novels every day. lol
