Paramount Goes to HD DVD

Shawn said he heard that Paramount will be releasing only HD DVD, exclusively beginning next month. I think there's gonna be a loooot of bootleg being bought and sold if this is true. The transition is too quick. Not many are set up for HD yet. Look how slowly we eased into CDs from cassettes, into DVD from VHS.

My parents got their first DVD player only last November for crying out loud! And Shawn and I used the PS2 to play DVDs up till about 18 months ago when we got a DVD player for Christmas. If Paramount does this, they're gonna lose a TON of money in sales.

And the bootleggers will ultimately win. And I really hate to see that.

DVD, HD DVD, Blue Ray (stupid name)....Why can't they just pick one? We don't have 30 versions of CDs and CD players. So irritating!
