Did eBay Go Too Far?

Here is a little something I read of interest in February's edition of Redbook. (I am not that behind in my reading; Mom is. She gave some magazines she hadn't yet read because I have nothing to read)

"To defray the costs of adopting a child, Ken and Kristie Sigler (Canton, OH) put their pair of coveted Michigan-Ohio State football tickets up for auction on eBay. Although the offers got up to $1500, eBay pulled the sale stating that an auction used to raise money for an adoption violated the site's policy."

My family knows how much I LOVE eBay and how addictive it can be to someone like me. They also know how I depend on eBay to keep afloat during the rough times, such as when a car breaks down or whatever.

However, I do not agree with the above statement. I don't think it's anyone's business what you do with the money from a sale. Whether you are planning to use the money toward an adoption, or illegal activities (I hope not!) it's really no one's business but you're own and you have every right to sell that item!

eBay dropped the ball on this one, I am sorry to say.
