Spiderman 3 No Spoliers here...

I guess it's been a while since I've last posted. I just haven't had the time. I do want to write, really. Same old story though; working long hours at work and home. Feeling it all in my bones. Anyway, all that is boring. Allow me to review the new Spiderman 3:

At some point in the movie, I whispered to Shawn, "I've seen more action in a chick flick."

Ok, so I don't need explosions and action to enjoy a movie. I enjoy all sorts of movies. But when you go to see a super hero movie, you expect more than just chit chat.

And that's just what Spiderman 3 has to offer. When there is some action, it's about 300 miles per hour so you don't really get a good feel of what's going on.

Topher Grace, you know him as "Eric" from That 70's Show plays Eddie Brock.

Yes, that correct. It's no typo. You might think that Grace would make a great Cassidy--otherwise known as Carnage, but this is not the case here as we all know how Hollywood has to screw everything up as told by US government law.

I am a big fan of the first two Spidey movies, but this one was sorely disapointing.

Three badies is simply too much to squeeze into a 2 and 1/2 hour movie. On top of that, you've got Mary Jane to deal with of course, and the Spidey Balck Suit.

Mary Jane is whiney. Hobgoblin has been played to death already (you killed my dad, boo hoo, etc). The effects of Sandman were very cool, but again, too much back story that just wasn't that interesting. It takes WAAAAAY to long to get to the black suit, a catalyst for Spiderman and a good story when it's done right. Unfortunately, it was not this time. By the time the suit was introduced in the story, I felt like I'd been in the theater for 4 hours and had actually forgotten about the whole black suit promise.

And course, Venom. My goodness, how long we've waited for Venom on the big screen!! Comic geeks rejoiced when the news first was annouced! Unfortunately, while the effects are true to Venom's character, we only got to view him for oh, about 20 seconds at 300 mph.

And it took so long to get there, I almost forgot about Venom altogether.

So what I am saying is, wait for the DVD and watch in the comfort of your own home. The theater was packed with small children and I have NO IDEA how they sat through it. I had a hard enough time myself. At one point though, the natives did become restless. We heard a few small voices here and there and one guy answered his cell phone.

And no one seemed to mind.

Does that answer your question about whether this movie is good or not?
