Our Kids Are Getting Fat, But They're Still Safe

Ok, today's kids are playing less outside and more inside in front of the video games. This is a pretty well known concept of today.

While I don't agree that's healthy to let a child spend all summer in front of the TV--at least he's alive.

In a age when children are plucked from their own backyards and turn up dead in a neighbor's basement--I say let them play the video games. The day of the sandlots are long gone.

Here's another option.
Go with the child. Supervise the child. There are plenty of fat adults walking around too and we all need excercise. Get outside, get some fresh air, and go for a walk. Play some basketball.

Just don't forget your baseball bat.

I'd rather have healthy kids out in that "dangerous world" we call reality than a bunch of fatties hiding behind the TV scared of their neighbors because their (also overweight) mother is paranoid and dillusional.

Kids don't need constant supervision to grow up both healthy and safe.

Also, annoying middle aged women (who aren't the least bit funny) don't need to post their every thought in a blog because they're experiencing menopause and think no one cares about them anymore.

Ciao.

Kids don't need constant supervision, no. But they do need SOME. Kids today have none at all. Just visit a Wal-Mart (or a Juvenile Prison) and you'll see what I mean.

I'd rather have a fat kid than a dead kid in some wacko's basement any day.

P.S. I'm 25 years old, married, (and still at 116 pounds!) no kids, and plenty of people that care for me. Oh, and not quite that close to menopause. Don't want to read my every thought? Then don't!

Ciao to you too.
