Isn't it Ironic--Don't Cha Think?

We started out with SBC phone service. Then, 3 years ago we signed up for SBC's internet service. It was ok. Nothing fancy for $22 a month.

When we bought our new computer, internet pages opened almost instantly--like magic even.

A few months ago AT&T bought SBC and took over everything.

Ever since that happened, our dial up service has become. So. Slooooooow...

Even at 5 am, hardly a high traffic time.

Also, I feel it necessary to mention that we've been BOMBARDED with flyers in the mail from AT&T advertising their High Speed Internet Express.

What a coincidence!!

$12.99 a month for 12 months when ordered online.

Q. How much does it cost after 12 months.
A. I can't get an absolute answer on that. So sorry.

Q. What's the fine print say?
A. New to residential customers, other monthly charges apply.

Q. What are the "other monthly charges"?
A. I actually do not know--it's not in the fine print.

Q. So how much does it actually cost?
A. No one knows. Not even the pesident of the United States of America.

Why should I pay more for a service I once had for $22 a month? My service was A-OK until AT&T took over. Oh, and get this:

I tried to email AT&T a nasty letter about the service being. So. Sloooow. When I went to send the email though AT&T's system, I was awarded with this message:

We are experiencing technical difficulties, please try again in a few minuets.

I pushed the back button to retrieve my hate mail and guess what?

Page has expired!! It was gone!! AT&T must have sensed my hate mail and terminated my email! They're all a bunch of freakin' nazis, I'm telling you.

To summarize: AT&T slowed down my internet and expect me to order new, more expensice services to accomodate.

Some poor AT&T clerk is gonna get an ear full from me.

IF I can get past the automated phone system, that is.
