This is NOT a spolier

We saw X-Men 3: The Last Stand

I WILL NOT give anything away. I will gripe and complain exactly one month after the DVD has been released. I'll give everyone a fair chance to view the flick before I go off the rails.

First of all, while in the theater, you could spot all the more dedicated geeks because we were the ones who waited till the end of the credits to catch the little 30 second clip at the end.

I don't care what anyone has told, it does not "tie it all together". It's cool, but unnecessary if you're freezing cold and have to pee.

Second of all, any fan of the X-Men books will be slightly disapointed, I'm afraid. X-Men was always one of my favorite books and I'd rather be in the X-Men than be Batman or Spider-man.

There. I said it.

I am sure you saw the second X-Men movie and were expecting a bit of the Dark Phoenix Saga. Don't get too exicted. That's all I'm saying.

I could do without the teenage romance; I've outgrown that by several years. What I could have had a little more of, is emotion. The enitre movie was just... Lacking. Capital L.

Juggernaut was lacking. Wolverine's emotion was noexistent! While, I'll agree that Hugh Jackman is perfect for playing Logan, I expect he was the object of some bad direction. Wolverine is an emotional character, mostly rage, but emotional to say the least. In this movie, sadly, there is NONE.

You'll see what I mean.

I NEVER liked what they did to Mystique. Running around all neked.

That's right, I said "neked." I'm a redneck, whadda ya expect? They shoulda left her the way she was, but I suppose some things just look better in the comics versus on screen.

Like capes, for instance.

Don't get me started.

If you had the Onslaught series (the one that saved Marvel from bankruptcy) you'll see the story leading up to that, in a sort of Hollywood way. That's good news for action figure collectors.

To some it up, it was alright. I was much happier with the first 2 movies which left me feeling like I just had to run out and buy some X-Men comic books. (I didn't, since they're a bazillion dollars each now)

Expect this cash cow to be milked for all it's worth, but not before it turns into the Batman sequels. *shutter*

Don't even get me started on all that mess.

A note for the commenters: If you leave a comment which gives away any sort of plot or anything, IT WILL BE DELTETED IMMEDIATELY! Don't go spoiling it for everyone else.

Coming soon: (a slight reminder for myself)
I want to be a X-Man! (well, X-Woman)
and
What has happened to comics?

I agree... it was lacking in heart and soul compared, in particular, to the second film.

Still, McKellen was as great as ever as Magneto!

ah yes, he was indeed. He's a good actor and has had much experience despite direction and script
