Have you ever put a warm soda in the freezer to cool it off real quick?
Have you ever forgotten said soda and cried over the mess it left after it exploded in the freezer?
Well, it works like that in the heat too.
A couple years ago I was on my lunch break from work. I ran home and did a little eBay work and rushed back to my job.
Along the way and to my suprise, I heard a loud popping noise followed by a whooshing noise. In a flash I just new I had a flat tire but the brown liquid spraying all over me said otherwise.
Somebody had left a 12 oz Pepsi can in the car. Somebody, had left it there from the day before when he drove my car!
So there I was, driving down 3rd street getting pelted in the face by hot soda. I pulled into my spot at work and set to clean up the mess.
The girl who was watching the counter while I took my break shireked, "What happened?!"
"Shawn left a soda in my car yesterday and it rolled under the seat, then when I stopped at the light it rolled out and EXPLODED! I'm covered in SODA! My car is covered in SODA!"
As I rubbed the windows, the seats, the roof, the dash, the raido, the insides of the doors, and any and all other surfaces within the inside of the car I found the dilapitated can on the floor board.
It was cracked right down the middle, lengthwise. Huh, I thought, it really did, litterally explode.
Fortunately this was in the Metro, which was smashed by a 16 year old.
Coincidentally, I had an open soda in the console.
It went everywhere again, but this time the car was undrivable so it was really the least of my concerns the second time around.
