Deal or No Deal?

Ok, I applied to be on the show. Have you ever watched it? Contestants are placed before several cases which are numbered and contain amounts of money from 1 penny to $1 million. You pick one case for your own. You eliminate 6 cases, hoping for small amounts and the "banker" ( a shady guy in a booth) offers you money. You can take that offer and run, or you may continue to eliminate cases.

The larger the amounts you knock out, the smaller the banker offers you. You may of course, play the game the whole way through and choose to keep your case, not knowing exactly how much is inside.

You could go home with nothing, $50, or $1 million.

It requires no skills, no talent, and no trivia knowledge. Just pick and choose, and know when to walk away with a fat offer.

So I thought, "That's the kinda game show for me!"

I sent my appplication in 2 weeks and already friends and family are asking, "Have you heard anything?"

Well, no, it's only been a couple weeks! But inside, I'm going, "COME ON! I'M FUNNY AND WOULD BE GREAT ON TV! PICK ME! OOOOH, OOOH! PICK ME! PICK ME!!"

Still, it's a nice thought. Ultimately, I'd like to take home enough money so Mom could quit working. I'd like to pay all our debt, buy a house in the country, donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and starving children's orgaizations, start a no kill pet kennel, travel, fix some family problems....

Whoa. Is there enough money in the world for all that? What would I buy if I could pay our debt and have some leftover for something fun? I have no friggin' clue! I gotta tell ya, I'd love a great steak!

Seriously? I dunno, maybe a muscle car like a Chevelle or something. Or an Ipod. Maybe I'd score some rocking drugs and get my teeth fixed. (I'd need the drugs to allow anyone who goes sticking something sharp in my mouth)

Maybe I'm thinking too small....

OOOH! OOOH! PICK ME!

If I were picked, we'd have to take off work and drive, of course. We nearly killed each other just going to Lubbock, a 7 to 8 hour drive.

Would a drive from central Texas to Hollywood force us to get a divorce?

Ha ha! I think we'd be on such a high from getting picked for the show, we'd "fly" all the way there.

Could you just imagine if I got picked? Just imagine!! It wouldn't solve life's problems, but it sure could help!
