Growing Old is Mandatory; Growing Up is Optional

This is The Simpsons Collection. I started it several years ago when Playmates released a few figures and diorama sets. Each figure can be placed on any play set and "talks". If it doesn't work with that particular set, it will make a noise like the phone ringing or something. The Collections has spawned many a birthday ideas and has grown to include mugs, candles, snow globes, cereal and snack boxes, board games, DVD sets, juice bottles, Burger King toys, trading cards, comics, Christmas ornaments, salt & pepper shakers... Well, I think you get the idea.

I don't have every single figure. There were several mail-away offers that I passed on and I figured that I didn't exactly need every single Homer figure dressed in every outfit he wore on the show. So I passed on a few things and even a few cheap playsets.

Oh trust me, if it's a product that can be made, I have either seen it or was told about it. The Simpsons thing went out of control to include anything from talking remote controls for your TV to talking oven mitts. Enough is enough.

At one point it was getting too expensive and room was running out. I was happy enough to think that I'd had enough in my collection. I'd even hung several figures from the ceiling with fishing line: Steven Hawking in his flying wheelchair, Astronaut Homer, ect.
