Feeding the Hungry

Shawn and I were watching TV one evening when a commercial for tampons or yogurt or something like that came on. In the ad, it was stated that a portion of the products' profits would go to benift research for Bulemia and Anorexia, as well as help for those with eating disorders.

Seriously? This is where we need to be spending our money? There are small countries literally starving to death because their people have no food to eat. There are people dying EVERY DAY needlessly from hundreds of illnesses because our government needs to spend $200 on a friggin' hammer.

Perhaps if we put our tax dollars and donations into funding worthwhile projects, fewer people would die.

Besides, if those suffering from Anorexia need so much dang help, I could help them myself with these tips:

1. Don't open any magazines, watch TV, or movies.

2. Eat.

That should do it. Why are companies willing to donate money for so called research for eating disorders anyway? I thought Mary-Kate and Ashley's medical insurance would cover it. They are worth like, $20 million or something, after all. They should have pretty good insurance! But noooooo, some yogurt company feels they need to pay for it. Sheesh.

Maybe we should send the people that won't eat to the people that can't eat.

Then the people that can't eat will eat the people that won't eat.

Two problems, one stone.

Right?
