Zombies. Unnnnggggghhh brains......

Boy, do I feel dumb! "Yeah, I think Vaughn died waaaay back, didn't he?" my Mom says.

Suddenly I had a memory rushing back. I had read an interview on BB King and remember him talking about Stevie Ray Vaughn in that crash. Just goes to show how much I keep up with celebrity news! Perhaps we can play together in Heaven. Maybe I'll show him a thing or two. HA HA!

Ugh. Yesterday was HORRIBLE. Shawn didn't get any sleep; the phone rang all day. At work, I felt like I was in a dream until the afternoon when I entered panic mode and just tried to get outta there at a decent time. I was so tired I wanted to cry but I was too tired to cry!

We decided to watch the zombie movie last night, which was quite fitting for both of us. Shawn said it was short so I removed the dogs from the bedroom fairly early so we could get some sleep.

Shawn would say, "Close your eyes; don't look!"
"Ugh-ooooooh! I looked!" I moaned.
"I told you not to...!"

Naturally I watched the whole movie. "It's 9 o'clock and I'm wide awake!" I exclaimed. "I had to see how everyone died!"
"You know everyone died at the end; you saw the original version," Shawn said.
"Yes, but I didn't know in what order they died."
Laughter.

We ended up staying up till about 11pm. At 2:30am the Carbon Monoxide began beeping every 30 seconds. Low batteries. I got up and struggled with the battery thing. I eventually pried it off with a butter knife thinking, "Why now? Why today?"

Then Prissy, the sensitive dog began acting strange. Her tail was tightly tucked between her legs, shaking, acting as though she hurt, almost. "Why today??? My alarm goes off in two hours!"

I checked her out. She seemed fine. I sat on the floor and let her sit in my lap. Lucy thought it was morning and so she began extra excited. I realized Prissy had only become scared from the beeping, maybe it hurt her ears. Lucy is too dumb to be scared. Seriously. With both dogs bounding around the kitchen, I went back to bed.

Of course I had a hard time getting back to sleep and at 4:30am when the alarm went off, I jumped outta bed. I feel good actually. "You gonna take a nap with me tomorrow?" Shawn had asked last night.
"Yeah, I am. Where's that anesthesiologist?! (I hold out my arm) Hey you! Let's get a drip going; I'll just take bed number three! You people just go on home, now. I'm just gonna get a nap in."

"At least I'll be able to sleep tomorrow," Shawn replied.
