Woof! This blog took a turn for the worse last night, huh? I think I repeated myself and went on and on and on and on...
HA HA! I must be tired!
Couple days ago I started a thread on eBay's Seller Central titled, "What's your biggest eBay Pet Peeve?"
It really took off with 90 replies (about 5 of them are my own). I think I started something. Seems there a lot of disgruntled sellers out there!
My biggest pet peeves would take too long to explain so I'll go into a general category: People who assume that we have all the time in the world.
"I'm trying to get rid of some stuff that you have absolutely no knowledge of. Do you think you could sell it on eBay for me?"
"I'm looking for this. Can you find it on eBay for me?"
"I'd like to learn how to sell on eBay. Can you teach me?"
"I have this piece of junk I found in the attic, cracked, chipped, and worn out with missing pieces. Can you appraise it for me?"
Look, it's cool when it's like, one person, but five or more at a time is too much, really. No, I'm not gonna show you how and where to buy stuff to resell. And teaching how to sell? I learned by a self-taught trial and error. And there were a LOT of errors!
You're not going to become a millionaire selling your attic junk.
It costs me money to list an item on eBay whether it sells or not--like in the newspaper!
And last, but certainly not least: HAVE A YARD SALE!!!!
Ok, so there's a couple live people I know who might come across this. I don't mean YOU. Yes, we'll find your motorcycle parts, Joe. And I'll see what I can do about the heater units, Bro. David. But, PLEASE PLEASE for the love of all that is sacred in this world....
Don't tell your friends. Shhh.
eBay? What's eBay? I never heard of no eBay.

I didn't know you were an eBay seller (dont' sorry... selling, and usually, buying is a lost on me for that- so no questions here). However, did you ever see "40-year old virgin"? I love the part where the kid comes into the store and really wants to buy the silly gold fish shoes but can't because that's not what the eBay store is about... makes me laugh everytime... in my opinion that was that kid's break through role
Yeah, we've been selling on eBay for about 4 or 5 years now. Was hoping we could quit our jobs and do it for a living. Not so easy....
