Free Movie Weekend!

We have DishNet and they give us movie channels previews every once in a while. Like, you might get all the HBO channels just for the weekend or something.

We got all the Starz and Encore movie channels all weekend!! And what a weekend to get it, too. I've been scrounging around and scouring the house for blank tapes. We record one movie on the TV in the living room while we watch another in the bedroom. I figure we'll need these movies after Shawn's surgery.

So, yeah. That's what we did ALL day yesterday. I did figure out to download game demos onto Shawn's PSP. Kudos to me! Two Saturdays was all it took. Say what you will about my computer skills, but after doing something like that, I feel like I can fill out an application for Geek Squad. Maybe higher myself out. Sure, I'll update your Playstation Portable. Just leave the money on the dresser and get outta here.

Dang thing is like a tiny computer. Makes my hair fall out. The PSP instruction book weighs a half pound (no kidding, I weighed it) and it's TOTALLY USELESS!!!

We watched Zathura--AWESOME! TOTALLY AWESOME! Not kiddie at all and very edge-of-your-seat.

Then we watched Monster House--AWESOME! TOTALLY AWESOME! Very smart, great acting, super graphics, though might be scary to younger kids.

I think Shawn pushed to watch these movies for me to make up for Silent Hill. Yech. I don't need all the lights on and I'm not having bad dreams, but some of those images stick with you like a bad Thanksgiving dinner. It takes approximately nine days to get it all out of your system.

OOOHHH! Today we have Chicken Little and RV. I recorded the new version of Dawn of the Dead last night (who doesn't love a zombie movie?) and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I told Shawn he could watch Emily Rose while I was at work. I don't think I can stomach another bad Thanksgiving dinner quite so soon. Besides, if you knew how The Amittyville Horror freaked me out, you wouldn't push me to watch. *shutter*
