Anchorwoman

Upon first seeing the ads for Fox's Anchorwoman, I thought it was a scripted show and thought, "That might be funny." Well, this is the age of reality, so nothing is scripted anymore. A news station in Tyler, Texas has given an anchor of an opportunity to Lauren Jones--bikini model, former Price is Right chick, former WWE Diva, and so on and so on.
One might believe that the station was failing and hired Jones to boost ratings, however it must not have lasted. Check the station's site. Jones is no longer in the picture. Did the station make that much money off the reality series that they no longer needed a bikini model to tell us the news?
The bosses and managers on the show are worried about credibility of the program, having a buxom blond doing the news and all. And Fox certainly takes advantage of it by plastering us with images of Stormy the Weather Dog (above). And these people are worried of credibility?!
I actually enjoyed the show and wound up rooting for Jones. Most everyone seems to hate her and call her a b****. It's her fault the station decided to do something drastic--she simply took the job. These people are directing their anger the wrong place, if you ask me. Jones seems to actually be trying, in her own way, of course. Her complaints of Texas heat and bad-smelling people can become annoying.
Either way, I hope she learns the ropes. I hope they interview more rednecks from the sticks who pronounce such words as "cleavlage". I hope Jones sucker punches that rude brunette, Anna. If you've seen the way Anna acts and holds herself, I think that would be credible TV viewing.

My cousin lives in Tyler, I told her she should watch :)

And speaking of WWE, Damian's roommates exgirlfriend (now that's a mouthful) is on that new WWE Diva Search.
