The Rising Cost of Blue Bell (the world is a sick place)

Nine years ago I was 17 years old Blue Bell was on sale regularly for $2.50 per half gallon. I know because I had to hang the sale sign.

Ah Blue Bell. The best ice cream you can get a grocery store, and that ain't no lie. I am 26 years old now and Blue Bell was on sale for $5.28 at our local chain of H.E.B. and $5.00 at Wal-Mart.

Yep. That's on sale. We've had one half gallon of Blue Bell all summer and how I miss it. My point is that while 99 cents sodas went up to $1.50, Blue Bell has doubled in price. Ok, well a lot of things have doubled in price within the last five years alone. Bought a gallon of milk lately?

But to raise the price of precious ice cream so much in the summer...It's like Hitler was running things again. Or do I mean Hilton? HA HA

Yes, the world is a sick place indeed when Blue Bell ice cream is on sale for $5.28

Okay, put it into perspective. I moved from Texas to Florida and am in great pain because I can't get Blue Bell. They carried it for awhile here (at outrageous prices, which I paid) but then discontinued it. What a shame. Those other brands don't compare. SO even though the price raise is aggravating, just enjoy and think of me here in hot, muggy, just like Texas, Florida except without my Blue Bell!! Nobody here knows what I am talking about when I say Blue Bell so maybe that's why it didn't sell.

Yikes! You poor thing!! I never did understand why the popular items like Blue Bell ice cream and Dr. Pepper soda weren't sold nationally. I'm always hearing about moms who send cases of Dr. Pepper in the mail to their kids away at college because it's not sold in their area.
