We've had a rough start. I guess I could trace this whole deal all the way back to Shawn being about 13 years old and living in Louisiana. He would start the weekend with $20, go to a card show and hustle trading cards. He would walk out at the end of the weekend with $200.
Our start together began with Action brand NASCAR memorabilia. Shawn spent probably $50 0r $100 on die cast cars and we resold them at the flea market for profit.
Later, we invested what we had into trading cards, sports and non-sports before eventually moving onto video games.
Video games are much more lucrative than football cards. And no one seems to read comic books anymore. It is the digital age, you know.
The original deal was that whatever we made, we put right back into our little business. But then every time we made money, the kitchen ceiling would fall in or the heater would explode.
Sigh.
Ok, ok, so it's been rough, I know. We are in the process of getting a small loan so we can jump start this thing. Our ultimate goal is to get enough merchandise and enough profit that we can quit our jobs and either stay at home and get fat, or open a real live store with four real walls and get fat.
We made a deal that whatever we buy for ourselves will come out our checking account, not our eBay money. It's time to get serious, we said!
With that said, a month ago we bought 2 Nintendo Wii systems. One sold pretty quickly, yet we had trouble selling the second. So Shawn decides we open it up and right it off as a business expense.
No wonder we can't make any money!
HA HA
I will say that the Nintendo Wii is by far THE COOLEST thing I have ever seen. So, if you're in the market for anything Nintendo, Xbox or Playstation, come take a look at our wares after we get this loan. I have a feeling the plumbing could go at any second....
