Mom works for a company that goes into stores, pulls out the outdated magazines and sets out the current magazines. She mans the racks at a Wal-Mart here, and one in Rockdale.
Her pet peeves are fashion magazines (because they're so heavy) and the thousands of tabloids that come every single week, week after week.
"They all look the same! I wonder how people really know they're reading a new magazine! The same celebrities are on all the covers of all the magazines. I get sick of looking at these people!" That's Mom. Sick and tired of Bragelina and TomCat.
She went on the describe that since the same celebrities are on all the magazine covers week after week--she has a hard remembering which is the old and which is new. (Psst, look at the date on the cover, Mom!)
"I had an issue of 'People' that I couldn't remember if it was the old one I was supposed to pull, or the new one I had just set out!" she laughed. "It was a different color, anyway--I think it was the new one. It was purple!"
