I Am Nerd. Hear Me Roar

Yeah so I've played table top games similar to Dungeons & Dragons. So what?

And yeah, I have an actual comic book collection, complete in acid-free boards and bags, stored in acid-free boxes. So what?

Sure, I've played card games like Magic: The Gathering and similar games. What's the big deal?

And ok, I will admit to watching about 50% of the episodes of Futurama with the audio commentaries on. You wanna a piece of me?

I told Shawn it was his fault. "How is it my fault?" he asks.
"You got me into comics," I reply.
"You were into comics before you met me!" he said.
"Yes," I said, "but you got me into hard-core."

So yep, I've played video games for 20 hours straight.
And I've built and painted some pretty exstensive models.
Sure, I've collected action figures (still in the package and in mint condition)

So do something, why don't ya? I never hurt anyone. But then something happened. Somehow, I ended up with a grocery bill and a mortgage with my name on it. I began working with Shawn on selling stuff on eBay, trying to figure out a way to make a living out of it.

I guess I...*gasp* I guess I grew up. Sort of. I wouldn't necessarily say I grew up. I just prioritized, that's all.
I went to Mom's house a few months back and stole back MY copy of Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars for Super Nintendo because I found out it was an $80 game...used. And it's like, 10 years old. I didn't want my nieces and nephews getting their sticky fingers all over it. I played it through once more from beginning to end and beat the hidden boss for the first time.

I am still a nerd at heart. A nerd with a mortgage.
Do something.
