Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer review

It must be miserable watching movies with a nerd. You can ask my husband how it feels, because I haven't the slightest idea. According to me, every comic book movie sucks becuase some young, hot shot writter decided to write a screen play while living in his mother's basement.

I was never a big fan of the Fantastic Four or the Silver Surfer. However, I do know the basic storylines of each and therefore....

NERD

To review, the graphics are AWESOME. Silver Surfer looked excellant, Jessica Alba as Sue looks ugly (because of the fake blonde hair and funky blue contact lenses) and the humor is without.

Oh, and I must also point out that Alba's head is much too large for her body since she feel into the hollywood waif actress category. That, and Shawn has a tremendous cruch on the waif.

Getting back to the movie:
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, ALL WRONG!!

Here's why: Joe, a buddy of Shawn's saw it last week. The movie doesn't go into much detail about Galactus Devourer of Worlds, so Shawn had to explain this to Joe. You shouldn't have to be a nerd to follow the storyline, ok?

Sue and Reed's wedding took about, oh THE FIRST HALF OF THE MOVIE and it was stuffed to the gills with sentimental bull pie.

Also, the ending was retarded and made no sense WHATSOEVER.

My advice? Wait for the DVD. Same as Spider-Man 3 and the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and Shrek the 3rd. Summer of Thurds! HA HA! (PS Shrek the 3rd sucks also)

We have nothing to look forward to except for the Transformers movie and the fourth part of a movie based on an amusement part ride. That's right, kiddies, yet another Pirates movie with no apparent ending.

Man, I am really getting sick of movies with no ending.
Fantasic Four ended. Yep, it had an ending so "well" that I doubt we'll see part 3. And thank Heaven for that.

You don't even get to see Galactus. Now what kind of summer blockbuster movie is that????
Oh, and they totally and completely screwed up Dr. Doom, but I suppose if you saw the first movie, that goes without saying.
All in all, it has a PG rating which is pretty rare these days so take the kids and have a happy summer.
