It's been a while...

Wow. I didn't realize it had been nearly a month since I last posted. Yeah, we've been busy around here. This last week was particularly crazy. My family is a mess. Shawn's family is a mess. Even his dad, it seems, is dumping on him from beyond the grave. Makes me wonder if all those episodes on Jerry Springer really were staged. We'd all be good candidate for the show anyhow.

I have much to write about but haven't had the time. Most recently, this past Wednesday, in fact, I found out an old friend had passed away. Between that and all the family stuff, I guess you could say my little world has been quite disrupted.

Rest easy old friend. I know you are with God. I will see you again and tell you about all the things I've been up to over the years. I will continue to pray for your wife, that she receives the comfort she so desperately needs. I am sorry we didn't meet again before your passing; I'll have to strangle my cousin for that. (ha ha) But we will meet again in a place where "goodbye" doesn't exist in the language.
