Sunday School This Week

Let me start by saying that Shawn and I watched The Chronicles of Narnia on Saturday on DVD. (SO GOOD!!) Before the movie, the Disney logo popped on the screen. "Disney?" I whined. "Oh no!"

I love Disney cartoons (mostly the old classics) but I thought Disney might goof up the story. "This isn't going to be all music, is it?" Shawn asked.

"No, "I answered. "The book wasn't a musical!" Ha ha!

I took a bag of bubble gum to Sunday School yesterday. Worked like a charm! I'd like to say that I was rewarding good behavior but really it was nothing more than a sweet form of bribery. It worked very, very, well!

Junior's really learning to push my buttons but all I had to say was "Well, I Junior doesn't want his treat this week!" and he'd jump right in. Even Phillip (who almost never participates) jumped in. I didn't push him but allowed him to do the puzzle only if he wanted. As the kids were almost done with the puzzle (a word search I messed up on the computer--1 word was missing!) Phillip actually wanted to do the puzzle. First time ever. He doesn't even like to draw when the other kids are just doodling and drawing.

They were really good this week and so fun. There were only 5 kids which made it a little easier to control them! On the other hand, there were only 5 kids, which disappointed me a bit.
